My Timeline:
Past: After graduating from Marquette University's College of Business Administration, I have gained
experience as a consultant, marketing professional and web designer. In 2003, I began studying Human Computer Interaction
at DePaul University's graduate school of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Systems.
Currently: I still take night classes at DePaul's loop campus, where I am nearing completion
of my Masters degree. In my final stretch of schooling, I am moving toward mastery of Information Architecture
and Usability Engineering.
Future: I am on track to graduate with honors in June of 2008. As I progress towards that
goal, I intend to continue the improvement of human computer interfaces by practicing the following user
research, evaluation, and design methods:
- Business Requirements Gathering
- User Profiles, Research and Testing
- Prototyping and Iterative Design
- Physical Design with HTML, CSS and CS3
- Heuristic Evaluation and Cognitive Walkthrough
- Interviews, Surveys and Focus Groups
- Task Analysis and Contextual Inquiries
- Usability and Quality Assurance Testing
In summary, I plan to build applications that are both easy and pleasurable to use!
